Austria is strict on emissions and noise standards. EU environmental policies apply. Some cities may require carbon offset reporting for private aviation.

Travelling with pets

Pets must comply with EU pet travel rules: microchip, valid rabies vaccine, EU vet health certificate. Austria is pet friendly, especially in alpine and countryside areas.

Entry and visas

Visa free for stays up to 90 days for US, UK, and EU citizens. Austria is part of the Schengen Area.

Arrival and departure

Valid passport for all travelers. No visa needed for stays under 90 days for most Western countries. Customs checks for valuable items may apply.
