Environmental rules

Australia enforces strict biosecurity laws and aviation emissions regulations. Private jets must comply with fuel and noise standards. Carbon offsetting is encouraged.

Travelling with pets

Australia has strict pet import rules. Pets must go through a quarantine process (usually 10 days) and meet specific health/vaccine certifications. Advance notice and special approvals required. Not ideal for short stays with pets.

Entry and visas

ETA (Electronic Travel Authority) required for most countries including the US and UK. COVID related restrictions lifted, but biosecurity rules are strict.

Arrival and departure

Valid passport + approved ETA required. Declaration of goods on arrival is mandatory. Heavy penalties for undeclared bio items.

Approx. 14–16 hours from Los Angeles to Sydney (direct).

Approx. 21–23 hours with 1 stop (London to Sydney).

Ultra Long Range Jets (e.g. Bombardier Global 7500, Gulfstream G700) are ideal for direct US–Australia routes. For inter city travel, Mid size Jets (e.g. Challenger 350) are commonly used due to long domestic distances.
