Environmental rules

– Japan enforces strict noise abatement procedures, especially near urban areas – Active adoption of SAF programs at major airports – Restrictions on night operations in Tokyo and Kyoto areas – Carbon reporting and emissions offsets are encouraged for operators.

Travelling with pets

Japan has very strict pet import rules Requires: advance import application (at least 40 days before travel), microchip, rabies vaccine, and health certificate. Pets may be subject to up to 180 days of quarantine if requirements are incomplete. VIP pet import inspection available at Narita and Haneda airports. Pet friendly luxury hotels available in Tokyo, Hakone, and ski resorts in Hokkaido.

Entry and visas

Visa free for up to 90 days for travelers from US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia, most LATAM. Passport must be valid during entire stay. Japan has strict entry screening, even for private jet passengers.

Arrival and departure

– Valid passport required – Visa not needed for short stays for most countries – Private jet operators must file arrival plans and provide detailed passenger manifests 24–48 hrs in advance – Customs declaration for cash/valuables exceeding ¥1,000,000
