Environmental rules

Sweden is a pioneer in sustainable aviation, promoting SAF, low emissions ground handling, and carbon offsets. Noise and emissions limits enforced at all major airports. Overflight limitations may apply in nature reserves and Arctic zones.

Travelling with pets

EU regulations apply: microchip, rabies vaccine, pet passport or health certificate. Dogs require tapeworm treatment 1–5 days before arrival. Pet entry allowed through major airports only. Pet-friendly luxury accommodations are widely available, especially in Stockholm, Åre, and countryside lodges.

Entry and visas

Part of the Schengen Zone. Visa free for up to 90 days for US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia, LATAM. Passport must be valid at least 3 months beyond intended stay.

Arrival and departure

Valid passport + Schengen visa if required. Customs declaration for cash/valuables exceeding €10,000. Private flight handling and slot booking required for high season or major events.
