  • Before you fly

Environmental rules

UAE encourages sustainable aviation, especially at DWC and Al Bateen. SAF use is growing in private aviation circles. Strict airspace control around royal zones and sensitive areas. Jet noise regulations enforced in urban centers.

Travelling with pets

Import permit required in advance + health certificate, microchip, rabies vaccine. Pets must arrive via designated airports (DXB, DWC, AUH). No quarantine if documents are correct, but vet inspection is mandatory. Some 5 star hotels and private residences are pet friendly, especially in Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah.

Entry and visas

Visa free or visa on arrival for 30 or 90 days depending on nationality (US, UK, EU, Canada, LATAM, Australia included). Passport must be valid at least 6 months.

Arrival and departure

Valid passport + visa depending on nationality (mostly visa-free/on arrival). Declaration for cash over 100,000 AED (~$27,000 USD). Advance flight plan, PPR (prior permission required), and slot allocation mandatory. Customs checks for jewelry, electronics, and high value goods.

Approx. 13–15 hours direct from NYC or Miami to Dubai or Abu Dhabi.

Approx. 6–7 hours from Paris, London, Milan, Zurich.
  • Airports and aircraft
The UAE is a global capital for private aviation: Ultra Long Range Jets (e.g. Gulfstream G700, Global 7500) are standard for international arrivals. Light & Mid size Jets (e.g. Legacy 500, Phenom 300) common for regional hops across. GCC and Europe. Top VIP airports: Dubai Al Maktoum (DWC) – full VIP terminal + FBOs. Dubai Intl (DXB – ExecuJet & Jetex terminals). Abu Dhabi Al Bateen (OMAD – private jet only). Sharjah Intl (OMSJ) and Ras Al Khaimah (OMRK) for boutique arrivals Where available, we can request lounges, security, private immigration and concierge services.
