Environmental rules

– Mexico is advancing eco aviation policies, especially in coastal and resort zones – Certain areas (e.g., Tulum, Los Cabos) have protected airspace and overflight restrictions – Carbon offsetting is not mandatory but is growing in popularity among luxury operators.

Travelling with pets

– Pets must have proof of rabies vaccine and a valid health certificate (issued within 5 days of travel) – No quarantine required if documentation is correct – Mexico is very pet-friendly, especially in luxury beach resorts and private villas – SENASICA personnel may inspect pets upon arrival at FBOs or main terminals.

Entry and visas

Visa free for up to 180 days for travelers from the US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia, most LATAM. Passport must be valid during the entire stay. Travelers must fill out a Multiple Immigration Form (FMM) on arrival.

Arrival and departure

– Valid passport + FMM form required – No visa needed for most Western travelers – Customs declaration for cash > $10,000 USD or valuable goods – Private flights must submit flight plans and may require prior permission (PPR) depending on airport.

Approx. 2–5 hours from Miami, LA, Dallas, Houston, NYC to top destinations.

Approx. 10–12 hours from London, Paris, Madrid to Mexico City or Cancún.

Mexico is one of the most private jet friendly countries in the Americas: – Ultra Long Range Jets (e.g. Gulfstream G650, Falcon 8X) for intercontinental routes – Light & Mid size Jets (e.g. Citation XLS+, Phenom 300) for domestic and regional travel. VIP airports include: Toluca (MMTO) for CDMX, Los Cabos (MMSD), Cancún (MMUN), Puerto Vallarta (MMPR), Tulum (MMTU), Mérida (MMMD). All have FBOs. Where available, we can request private immigration and fast handling.
