Environmental rules

Some eco zones and marine parks (like Samaná or Isla Saona) require overflight restrictions or special landing permits. Sustainability is growing in the luxury resort sector, and private operators are encouraged to participate in carbon neutral programs.

Travelling with pets

– Pets must have rabies vaccine certificate, health certificate, and be declared on arrival – No quarantine for pets with correct documentation – Punta Cana and Santo Domingo airports are equipped for pet entry inspections – Most upscale resorts and villas are pet-friendly upon request.

Entry and visas

Visa free for up to 30–90 days for most nationalities including US, UK, EU, and many from Latin America. Travelers must fill out an electronic entry form (e-ticket) before arrival.
